APNA was started in the year 1983.
APNA was formed as IMA was not able to address to the problems of Nursing
Homes. APNA main aim is to protect the interests of smaller hospitals and
Nursing Homes in general.
APNA city and RR Dist has 565 members and APNA state has 2954 members. APNA has been instrumental in negotiating with the Govt. in variousissues and benefiting the hospitals like reducing pollution control
registration fees per bed, Municipal Tax reduction, Stay on Municipal

Trade
license. As the medical care establishment act is going to be implemented
soon, APNA will play a major role in future. APNA is a recognized body and
is being invited by the Govt. in various policydecisions like fire safety
norms, formation of emergency medical council (EMS).pollution control, and
PNDT act. implemention, DOTS programme, etc.
1) Collective support from other hospitals in time of crisis and some
immunity in day to day running of the nursing homes.
2) Tax benefits in municipal tax, benefits in Pollution Control registration
fees, Bio-Medical Waste management, Air and Water Pollution.
3) Latest Information about rules and regulations pertaining to hospital
industry.
4) As a APNA members, any concessions passed by Govt. like in fire safety
nouns, will be passed on to the member.
