Chikungunya fever is a Viral Disease transmitted to humans by the bite of infected mosquitoes with Chikungunya Virus. (CHIK V). Chik V is spread by the bite of infected mosquito. The symptoms of chikungunya includes fever, which can reach upto 104-105f, a petechial or maculopapular rash usually involving limbs and trunk and artalgia or arthritis involving multiple joints which can be debilitating. There can also be headache, conjuctival infection and slight photophobia.
