Chikungunya fever is a Viral Disease transmitted to humans by the bite of infected mosquitoes with Chikungunya Virus. (CHIK V). Chik V is spread by the bite of infected mosquito. The symptoms of chikungunya includes fever, which can reach upto 104-105f, a petechial or maculopapular rash usually involving limbs and trunk and artalgia or arthritis involving multiple joints which can be debilitating. There can also be headache, conjuctival infection and slight photophobia.

We have invited the District Collector & Magistrate & DM&HO for the meeting on 15-04-2006 ( Saturday ) at 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. wherein all the details regarding the Act and its repercussions will be discussed.  Since the Collector is very serious in implementing the Act, we request all the proprietors of the hospitals & scanning centers to comply with the Act and attend the meeting without fail.
